Children's Short Story Writing Competition
Theme: CHRISTMAS
Our Aims
We believe that children's creativity should be recognised and want to provide opportunities to showcase their work to the public.
The competition is open to all local children
We will be running more events, so watch this space
How to enter the competition:
Theme: Christmas.
Age range for entries: 7-11 years.
Length: up to 500 words.
Handwritten or typed entries accepted. Entries can be sent by email or collected from schools and other venues by BookFest Team members. To send or arrange collection email hello@glossopbookfest.co.uk
Rules: (a) Each applicant to declare age; (b) each entry to be signed by responsible adult certifying that the work is the child’s own.
Submission deadline: Friday, 1st December 2023
Results to be announced by: Friday 15th December 2023
Entries will be chosen by the panel and displayed on our website and across our social media platforms. Prizes of book vouchers and notebook sets (1st prize and 2 runners-up.)
